Starter Items
- Amplifying Tome to build into your first item for Full Build 1)

- Health for defence || Mana for offence
First Recall
- Lost Chapter for extra mana sustain during laning phase
- Blasting Wand for damage. Usually built after lost chapter.
Full Build 1
- Luden's Echo gives you a decent amount of mana plus lets you chunk down enemies with the help of Luden's passive
- Awakened Soulstealer very useful for transitioning into mid/late game. Gives you more mana and ap while decreasing your ultimate cooldown.
- Boots of Speed -> Ionian Boots of Lucidity -> [Zhonya's] as you need some movement speed at this stage of the game and your Q won't suffice. Zhonya's is nice to use after an all-in engage with your ultimate
- Infinity Orb allows you to push lanes faster before going into team fights. Also insane against low health targets
- Rabadon's Deathcap gets you a crazy amount of AP to one-shot anyone that doesn't have health items.
- Void Staff / Morellonomicon depends on if you need healing reduction or magic resist penetration. I usually go Morello against teams with 0-1 tanks and Void against teams with 2+ tanks. Not that you should focus tanks, but dealing damage to them on initiation is always a star.
Full Build 2 (Tankier)
- Rod of Ages is similar to Luden's Echo, but gives less instant damage which instead scales over the span of the game. Also gives you more health.
- Awakened Soulstealer in order to get lower cooldown on your ultimate and enough mana to spam your abilities
- Boots of Speed -> Ionian Boots of Lucidity -> [Zhonya's] as you need some movement speed at this stage of the game and your Q won't suffice. Zhonya's is nice to use after an all-in engage with your ultimate
- Liandry's Torment to give you more damage and make you more tanky. Works excellent against tanks but also a nice item that gives both AP+HP.
- Rylai's Crystal Scepter which will work with liandry and give you more utility on initiation and poke. Also allows you to catch enemies more efficient as your Qs will now be stronger
- Rabadon's Deathcap as the final nail in the coffin to solidify your damage in team fights
Malphite Runes
Best Runes for Malphite
- Electrocute
Good for burst of damage after your Unstoppable Force
- Gathering Storm
Gathering storm is a good rune as you will be most useful in the mid/late game when you've gained some items and a lot of AP from GS.
- Regeneration
Regeneration is good as it will mainly give you mana in lane due to Granite Shield which will save a lot of your health
- Sweet tooth
Sweet tooth is just broken atm.

Super squishy target, which is chum for you. Once you get Luden's Echo you should pop her buns very easily. Stay away from her Light Binding as it stops you from using Unstoppable Force and allows her to combo you.

Abilities
Malphite is shielded by a layer of rock which absorbs damage up to 10% of his maximum Health. If Malphite has not been hit for 10 seconds, this effect recharges. Very useful in early game to take damage like Razor Shuriken or Orb Of Deception
Malphite sends a shard of the earth through the ground at his foe, dealing damage upon impact and stealing Movement Speed for 3 seconds.
Bread & butter for poking. Super powerful late game for finishing enemies.
Malphite attacks with such force that it creates a sonic boom. For the next few seconds, his attacks create aftershocks in front of him.
Used for clearing waves or after initiation
Malphite slams the ground, sending out a shockwave that deals magic damage based on his Armor and reduces the Attack Speed of enemies for a short duration.
Useful for clearing waves due to Area of Effect (AoE) damage.
Malphite launches himself to a location at high speed, damaging enemies and knocking them into the air.
