Item Build Description
Additional information on the items
This is what an average Darius build would look like. Trinity Force can be replaced with Black Cleaver if the enemy team has multiple tanks, or you are behind. Sterak's Gage is an incredible item on Darius . It gives him a ton of health, which makes Decimate heal you more, a big boost to his AD, and gives him a big shield so he can survive longer in a fight, getting closer to Noxian Might. The rest of the items are situational, and should always be changed depending on the game/enemy comp. NEVER BLINDLY BUILD ITEMS. HAVE A REASON WHY YOU ARE BUYING AN ITEM.
Darius Runes
Best Runes for Darius
Average rune page for Darius . Conqueror is a must have on Darius . Darius loves extended fights, and Conqueror supplements that. At max stacks, Conqueror gives %omnivamp, which makes all of Darius ’s damaging abilities heal him for a bit, including the true damage from [darius:ult]!
Triumph makes Darius ’s kill pressure a lot higher with [darius:ult], and the extra healing on takedown is very nice.
Adaptive Carapace is a pretty solid rune. It gives you more health to lane with, and makes you tankier at low hp. Replace with Second Wind , or Bone Plating depending on matchup.
[demolish] is a pretty good rune on Darius . Because of his lane bully nature, you can expect to be at your opponent‘s turret a lot. Later in the game, Darius can use it for split pushing. Replace with Sweet Tooth or Nimbus Cloak depending on matchup.

Darius Matchups & Counters
Detailed information on how to play matchups and counters
Sion is a matchup heavily in your favour. Sion is an immobile tank, so he is literally free stacks to you. Just don’t eat too many Decimating Smash or else you can’t kill him. Apprehend can cancel it, so that is a window of opportunity. Late game Sion will have too much stats for you to do enough damage to him, but he is still free stacks that you can then apply to the enemy back line.
Laning
At level 1, I like to take Crippling Strike in every matchup, except ranged, where I take Decimate . My reasoning for taking Crippling Strike first is because it allows for more reliable trading, and it works towards your passive more. I don’t like Decimate first as much because in wild rift, the minion waves are a lot smaller than they are on PC, and trying to hit the enemy could cause you to accidentally hit the minion wave, which will cause it to push away from you.
At first, look for short trades. Unless the enemy is greatly out of position and you can [ghost] them down, you don’t have your other abilities that allow for longer trades, like Apprehend for example.
Try to get lvl 2 advantage first. You can do this by attacking your first minion, then last hitting the rest. Doing this can instantly win your lane. A advanced trick is to surprise your opponent with your lvl 2 power spike, cheesing first blood, or at least force them to back. If you can’t surprise them, position aggressively, and if they don’t respect you, beat them up. Proceed to walk your minions into the enemy turret after you’ve built up a big wave (this is called a slow push), and now you have some options. You can: Ward, Dive, Roam, Take Plates or Recall, depending on the situation.
Lvl 3 is a big power spike for you. You now have access to all 3 of your abilities, and you become a major threat. Just the threat of having Apprehend makes people scared of Darius . Something I like to do is utilise the bushes to “extend” the range of Apprehend , which causes the enemy to move closer to the river, potentially setting up a nice position for my jungler to gank.
After this point, you should be around lvl 5, and you can start looking for really aggressive fights now that you have Noxian Guillotine .
Mid/Late
After the laning phase is where the most chaos happens. Nobody knows where they’re going, or what to do. Random team fights in mid lane, etc.
A good general game plan for the mid game is to push out the waves in a side lane, and then group with your team if you suspect a fight may happen, or just roam around the map planting wards for vision. Try to buy your items before an objective spawns, that way you can group with your team right as it spawns and be stronger. Darius is really powerful in early rift herald/dragon fights, because if you can catch out one person on the enemy team, and kill them, that objective is basically free. You can kill the whole team this way, and snowball your lead into a victory.
In the late game, try to group with your team a little more often, especially when big objectives like Baron or Elder spawn. Continue to push out waves and farm if you still have items to buy. Note that at this point in the game, Darius falls off a bit in terms of power, acting more as a tanky support, but can still kill the entire team if he gets his Noxian Guillotine resets.
Why Ghost?
I’m glad you asked. The reason why [ghost] is used is because like I said before in the Runes section, it gives Darius much needed move speed, and gives him a lot of kill pressure. “But Mafiaman”, you may be asking, “Why not just take ignite, and then build move speed? You’ll still get the kill pressure.” And you’d be right. If it weren’t for the fact that ignite doesn’t scale, but ghost does. Ghost is always useful, whereas ignite forces you to get kills in lane otherwise it’s useless.
