[Sunfire Cape]
This item is one of the core items for Mundo, get it as a first item. making it easier to farm and deal additional magic damage to enemy champions. But it is good as it deals 50% bonus damage to minions and monsters.
Now, this item empowers your passive and Ulti by 30% which is more than enough. see your passive regen 1% health each second, with this it becomes 30% health every second if I'm not mistaken. for the Ult at max, you get 100% health regen, with this item you get 300% I guess. anyway, the item is good.
Warmog's Armor
this item will improve your roaming capabilities, and also provide good amount of health thus enhancing your 3rd skill.
Guardian Angel
(GA)
it has good armor stats plus gives you insurance. the most important thing is this item makes enemy Ult against you wasted.
Glorious Enchant
Get Mercury's Threads to get 35% Tenacity because your W also gives 30% Tenacity at max level remember that tenacity cap is 60%, it's crucial for Mundo to get moving and get squishy enemies, get Glorius Enchant, ever seen unkillable Mundo? yes? how about unkillable and coming after you? this is what makes Mundo scary.

why buy this? reduce crits by 15% and also reduce ADC attack speed or any other champions. only buy late in the game.

Thornmail
this item is self-explanatory, this item gives the enemy their damage back. in the late game, they'll be wondering why their health depletes easily.

Best Runes for Dr. Mundo
Triumph for heal after killling, or Brutal for extra damage.
Hunter-Titan good for mundo as it gices 20 health per kill even if we won't need the tenacity.

Amumu is an easy fight for Mundo because Amumu deals magic damage and also his kit all good cc, but with Mundo that means nothing.

Early Game
Mundo is a good Tank Jungler that's able to sustain damage for the team while dealing damage.
I will tell you how to play Mundo efficiently, get your Q first and go to red buff smite. After that level up, W. Go to raptors, level up E, next go to blue, watch the lanes for opportunities to gank, now two scenarios here.
1st scenario: no opportunity to gank, go scuttle be ready to smite if contesting with enemy jungler. With Mundo, you can scare them easily.
2nd scenario: there is an opportunity to gank, ping, and go gank then, even if no enemies killed at least waste their flash. That makes it easier for your teammate to harass them and maybe get a kill.
After this, reset, and go farm until you get Sunfire Cape. Then you'll have an easier time farming. Much faster clear than enemy jungler. You'll have a headstart gold.
Mid Game
In the Mid game, you should try to steal enemy jungle monsters, contribute to a team fight, and taking objectives, dragons, herald, tower.
Now rush to build Guardian Angel (GA). why GA and not Spirit Visage (SV)? Cuz you are a tank that sustains damage and wastes enemy ult. Besides GA gives you insurance to be alive.
Buy Mercury Threads and Glorious Enchant. Mercury thread to reach max cap on tenacity which is 60% only achievable by Mundo reducing cc effects on you. Glorious Enchant to hunt enemies who are running away.
After that buy SV its more useful late game than early cuz during late-game enemies will deal a ton of damage. SV also enhances Mundo's passive and Ult.
Late Game
The fifth item and sixth items is usually depending on you. For me, I'd go Randuin's Omen to counter ADC and Thornmail last.
Be aware of enemy itemization. See an enemy with Mortal Reminder, Morellnomicron, or Thornmail? Go kill them first. That's how you counter grievous wounds. With 60% tenacity, you'll be able to catch up to the enemy to kill him.
Watch out for burst enemy and true damage like Olaf Akali and Camille and Master Yi. Burst damage is your worst enemy until you have SV.
