[2.1a] Akali Guide - [CP] Akali - Outsmart, Outwit, Outplay

I don't play Akali and to be honest I don't even own this champion but having been able to watch hundreds of gameplays from my friends who are GrandMaster/Challenger, Akali is a must pick for these players and I also noticed the pattern on how they build this champion

Liandry's Torment

This first item built by most High Elo Akali I've watched. This is good for countering Tanks as it deals damage based on health percentage, it has pretty high Ability Power stat with Max Health as well and Akali's First Skill Five Point Strike has slow effect so it triggers the additional damage of Torment effect according to the description of this item. Yeah that's the reason why they chose this item first than the rest

Infinity Orb

Isn't this item broken? LOL. Aside from the bonus Crit Damage, the additional Move Speed and Magic Penetration is something that makes Akali even powerful. She has strong pursuit capability and she's a close combat Assassin champion so these stats are perfect for her

[stasis enchant] or Teleport Enchant

Let's talk about the movement item for Akali. The boots should be situational meaning you should adjust it depending on the enemy team composition. Most of the time the recommended boots for Akali is Gluttonous Greaves but you should change it if and only if: 

• The enemies are mostly AP or Heavy Crowd Controllers then use Mercury's Treads
• The enemies are mostly AD users then use [ninja tabi]
• Ionian Boots of Lucidity is purely a personal preference but if you want to have lower cooldown abilities then go for it

How about the enchant item? That's situational as well. [stasis enchant] is a good counter to a target lock Ultimate Skills like Zed's Ultimate [zed:ult], Camille's Ultimate The Hextech Ultimatum , Fizz's Ultimate Chum The Waters or any abilities in general that requires some time to animate. If these champions are not present in the enemy team then go for Teleport Enchant if you play her in Baron Lane so she could easily teleport to a teamfight if needed.

Rabadon's Deathcap

In general, this item will make the wearer's damage spike really high which is perfect for Mid/Late game. Some players prefers to build this item first but that's kinda too early for a high AP stat alone, I personally prefer an item with mixed stats which is why Liandry's Torment is in our first item of this build

Hextech Gunblade

For me the most interesting effect of this item is not the Hextech Bolt but the Energy and Life Drain. If you've noticed, Akali's damage does not just came from her abilities but from her Basic Attack as well due to the fact that her Passive Skill Assassin's Mark enhances it. You deal damage, you heal some and that could be a life saver at some point in your gameplay

Void Staff

If you want to deal more damage then go for this item but I kinda believe that the last item should also be situational something like a defense item. You should analyze your gameplay from early to mid game. If an specific enemy champion can easily harass you then you should change this item into Defense one. Guardian Angel or Adaptive Helm is a good replacement
